Trade Together is a free social platform for people who follow the stock market. It puts three things in one place: a set of market tools (charts, a heatmap, sector performance, an earnings calendar), a place to record and track what you would trade, and a community of other people doing the same — including creators whose trading record is open for you to read.
You need an account to use any of it. Everything is free, and there is no payment step anywhere in the app.
1.1 Every trade here is virtual
Trade Together is not a broker and is not connected to one. When you place an order, no order is sent anywhere and no money moves. All that changes is the list of holdings recorded on your own account.
This is worth being clear about, because the rest of the app behaves convincingly. Prices are real and live. Your profit and loss is calculated from real market data. Orders sit pending and fill at real prices. The trade log is permanent. None of that makes the position real — you do not own the shares, you cannot sell them for money, and there is nothing to withdraw.
What it is good for: practising, keeping an honest record of the calls you would have made, and having a track record that other people can check. See the trade log for why that record is built the way it is.
1.2 Nothing here is advice
The app shows you figures, and some of them look like opinions — the technical score on a chart, the analyst consensus rating, the AI-written market summaries. None of it is a recommendation, and none of it is tailored to you or your circumstances.
- The Technicals score is arithmetic on price history. It is described in chapter 5 so you can see exactly what it does and does not consider.
- The Analyst rating is a count of what other firms published. It is their view, reported, not ours.
- Written summaries are generated from the app's own figures and are labelled where they appear.
Market data can also be delayed, incomplete or wrong — see chapter 20, which explains where each number comes from and when it can be stale.
1.3 What you need
A current web browser and an email address you can receive mail at. There is nothing to install, and no mobile app — the site works on a phone browser, though the charts and the heatmap want a larger screen.
Some things only happen while the app is open in a browser tab. Price alerts and pending orders are both in that category, and both chapters say so where it matters (chapter 12, chapter 11).
